DESCRIPTION:
English, movement only, c.1790, 8-day 2- wt tall clock mov't and plain brass dial, LATER engraved to read "David Rittenhouse, Philadephia"
CONDITION:
the movement is complete and sound, has been cleaned and re-cabled, ticks and strikes. There is no pendulum nor weights. Period pulleys are intact. Seatboard is old/original, repaired with a new rear piece. Dial measures 12.5" W x 16.5" high. Dial is polished to brass, needs silvering.
